Wildflower Maternity Photos

Spring in Walnut Creek means colorful hills speckled with wildflowers! From the yellow mustard flowers that pop up in late January / early February, to the orange poppies and blue lupine that spring up in later spring, I can’t think of many settings more perfect for a maternity photography session than wildflower fields! Maternity Session with Spring Wildflowers

Spring wildflowers start popping up around Martinez, Pleasanton, Alamo, Walnut Creek and Concord as early as late January. These are typically mustard flowers and tend to grow in huge dramatic fields! These maternity sessions were both done in late February.

Maternity Session with Summer Wildflowers

As spring comes to an end, and summer gets closer, different wildflowers start popping up all around the Walnut Creek area. Brighter patches of yellow flowers, the famous California poppies, and stunning lupines cover the hills. The maternity sessions in the next set of photos were all taken throughout the spring and summer in the Walnut Creek area.

Any of these wild flowers would be a lovely choice for maternity photos! If you prefer a mini session to a full session, this is one of the few times a year I offer minis! My waitlist is currently open! And if you aren’t currently pregnant, no worries! The wildflowers are just as much fun for families with little ones, or for a mommy and me session! Toddlers especially really enjoy the flower fields!
