Organizing my Business Goals

So I’m actually going to talk about something a little different than how I organize my photography sessions. I organize my sessions using a CRM called Session. My sessions are automatically loaded into my calendar on my phone along with my client’s contact information. Instead, I’m going to talk about organizing my business goals!

It was one of my 2024 goals to be more intentional and goal oriented with my business. I wanted to get away from doing something just because I saw another photographer do it. I wanted to make my photography business truly mine. Recently, I came across Biz Mom Planner Co. in a Facebook group, and I’m so excited to use it.

Instead of using this like a regular planner for appointments (although you totally could) I found it was perfect to almost act like a journal. I could set goals for myself, and create actionable steps on how to reach them. In addition, there are areas built in to track your goals and reflect on how you’ve done for the week!

This is how my planner came, so I was able to organize it exactly how I wanted.

For example, one goal for this week was to start planning the opening of my studio. So one day this week the item was to reach out to 3 local businesses for various collaboration ideas. On 2 days I browsed studio ideas. One day I researched studio lighting options. And at the end of the week, I reflected on how it was coming, and what my next steps would be.
