A New Martinez Photography Studio!
I’m so happy to announce my new photography studio is now open in Martinez! My studio is currently set up for children’s portraits and newborn sessions, but more is coming! The studio is located at 535 Main Street, Martinez, CA.
What Type of Photography Studio?
For the time being, the studio will be focusing on classic children’s portraits and wrapped newborn sessions.
Children’s Studio Portraits
I did so many kids portraits last year, but I always rented studio space. I’m so excited to have a space to call my own this year. I enjoyed the children’s personality portraits so much, that was the first part of my studio space I wanted to have up and running. My space will welcome kids of all ages, and we will spend time getting adorable, classic photos. These actually make for amazing gallery walls in your home!
Milestones, Sports, and More!
My photography studio is a blank space to fulfill your vision! Milestones like 6 month sitter sessions and 1st birthday cake smashes are some popular sessions! The studio’s neutral decor can also be a beautiful setting for your child’s dance, sports, or yearly back to school photos!
Children’s Personality Portraits
One of my favorite sessions to do at the studio, is just a fun personality portrait session! These can be done yearly, really focus around getting your little one’s personality to shine! None of those stiff awkward smiles! We will play their favorite songs, dance, joke and just act silly together!
Newborn Studio Portraits
In additions to children, having a warm, cozy, light filled space was important to me. I have been a lifestyle newborn photographer for years, but I had some families who didn’t have a particular connection to their home for various reasons and really desired to have a studio space for their photos. I created space to get a mix of wrapped, classically posed newborn photos, as well as photos of the family together.
Swaddled Newborn Photos
My studio is full of wraps, blankets, outfits, hats and props for the wrapped studio photos. Choose your favorite colors, something that will look beautiful in your home!
Newborn Photos With Family
Even if you prefer to not be in the photos, I always suggest just a few you with your hands on your baby, or a closeup of them sleeping in your arms. If you have older children, this is a great time for them to get involved as well! They can help choose a wrap or an outfit, and really show off their big brother or sister skills!

Jenn Chen is a family, maternity and newborn photographer in the Walnut Creek area. While she works with families of all sizes, she specializes in working with young children and toddlers (she has a 2 and 4 year old of her own!). Jenn has been photographing families since 2017 but has had a passion for photography since she was a child. Jenn has a photography studio in downtown Martinez which is currently open for newborn sessions and children’s portraits.
Jenn is a member of NAPCP and as of 2024 was recognized as a “Master of Family Photography” based on her current portfolio. Jenn is also a member of Nikon Professional Services.
