Children’s Portraits in Martinez
What ages work for portrait sessions?
I have babies and children from 6 months and up in my studio for these fun portrait sessions. My passion is working one on one with children and getting them to have fun during there photoshoot!
Is my kid too shy or too energetic?
Absolutely not! For babies and some toddlers, we will sing songs, play-peek-a-boo, and even bust out some bubbles if needed! Plus, mom can always sit within an arms reach if needed! For my fun loving toddlers with aaaaalllll the energy, we will have dance parties, be silly, all the things that get your little one to show that smile that you love so much.
For my reserved little ones, I usually sit on the floor and chat with them and mom. We take our time and let them come out of their shell naturally.

Jenn Chen is a family, maternity and newborn photographer in the Walnut Creek area. While she works with families of all sizes, she specializes in working with young children and toddlers (she has a 2 and 4 year old of her own!). Jenn has been photographing families since 2017 but has had a passion for photography since she was a child. Jenn has a photography studio in downtown Martinez which is currently open for newborn sessions and children’s portraits.
Jenn is a member of NAPCP and as of 2024 was recognized as a “Master of Family Photography” based on her current portfolio. Jenn is also a member of Nikon Professional Services.
