Happy Birthday to my Studio!
I can’t believe it’s already been a full year since I opened the doors to my downtown Martinez studio! To celebrate, I threw the happiest little party I could imagine—confetti mini sessions—and I’m still riding that celebratory high. If you’ve been following along, you know I’m all about capturing authentic smiles, goofy giggles, and the sweet magic of everyday moments… and these mini sessions did not disappoint… in fact, they might have been some of the most authentically happy moments I’ve captured!
Birthday Photoshoots Galore!
So many of the kiddos that joined the confetti throwing fun were celebrating a birthday in the next few weeks. It was such a great time to celebrate along with everyone! We celebrated first birthdays up to 10th birthdays!
Is there more confetti in the future?
I absolutely plan to have more confetti fun! I’ll be releasing these a few times a year to celebrate various events! Make sure to follow along – these are absolutely adorable sessions for your child’s birthday – perhaps a cake smash alternative! And grown-ups, if you have something fun to celebrate don’t wait on this! I have first hand experience on the fun of throwing confetti! My inner child was living her best life!

Jenn Chen is a family, maternity and newborn photographer in the Walnut Creek area. While she works with families of all sizes, she specializes in working with young children and toddlers (she has a 2 and 4 year old of her own!). Jenn has been photographing families since 2017 but has had a passion for photography since she was a child. Jenn has a photography studio in downtown Martinez which is currently open for newborn sessions and children’s portraits.
Jenn is a member of NAPCP and as of 2024 was recognized as a “Master of Family Photography” based on her current portfolio. As of 2025, Jenn was accepted as one of NAPCPs California ambassadors. Jenn is also a member of Nikon Professional Services.
